About Me

Alyssa Curtis is a Weekend Anchor/Producer and MMJ for KMTV 3 News Now in Omaha, Nebraska. Throughout the week you can catch her reporting on everything from local government and community events to health and breaking news. As an MMJ she shoots, writes and edits most of her own stories. On the weekends she produces a one hour show and anchors it. She moved to the midwest in 2020 to follow her dreams of being a reporter. About a year after being at KMTV, she was promoted to Weekend Anchor. 

 

Alyssa graduated Cum Laude from Ithaca College with a Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism and minor in sports studies. During her time at Ithaca College she was heavily involved with student media like the award-winning newspaper, The Ithacan, the student-led broadcasts Newswatch and Good Day Ithaca, as well as publications such as Buzzsaw. Through the Journalism department, she got the opportunity to cover the 2019 Women's March in D.C. as a social media reporter for NBC and MSNBC. She gathered photos, videos, interviews and more for their multiple social media platforms, garnering over 65,000 views.

Alyssa is originally from Miami, Florida where she was born and raised. She graduated from New World School of the Arts, attending the dance program.
